Marvin Villalobos Álvarez is the Executive Director for Logitsa since 2009, year in which he founded the Company.
Mr. Villalobos began his career in the aviation industry in 1985 working as a flight dispatcher for LACSA (Líneas Aéreas Costarricenses SA, today Avianca Costa Rica SA). During his 12-year career at LACSA, he held differente roles in the operational and commercial areas, such as cargo officer, reservations and sales agent.
Given his extensive experience and knowledge in the logistics field, in 2000 Mr. Villalobos became General Manager of Arrow Cargo in Costa Rica, a successful cargo airline that operated more than 90 weekly cargo flights to different countries around the world and had a strong activity of charter flights. His career at Arrow Cargo allowed him to expand his network of contacts in the United States and in the Latin American region, to gain extensive experience in the air cargo business.
As the great entrepreneur that he is, in 2009 Mr. Villalobos founded Logitsa Cargo Service SA, his own international freight forwarding company, which today is recognized in the IATA Ranking as the number two air cargo agency in Costa Rica.
His leadership, vision and entrepreneurial spirit have touched the lives of many people and shape Logitsa´s culture to this day.
Marvin Villalobos is married and has three daughters, with whom he lives in San José, Costa Rica. He is passionate about helping others, which is why he is a member of the Board of Directors of an NGO that helps children at social risk. Some of his hobbies include riding motorcycle, fishing, designing and building wooden furniture and being in the nature, specially in the mountain.
